Privacy notice
How the information you share through this website is used.
Who is responsible for your information
Roman Road Web Design is the trading name of Matthew Reardon, who is responsible for the personal information you share through this website (the "data controller").
- Address: 15 Dalynridge Close, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, UK
- Email: hello@romanroadwebdesign.co.uk
What information is collected
If you send an enquiry through the form on this website, it collects:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- anything you write in the "What do you need?" box
Please don't include sensitive personal information in your message.
Why it's used
Your information is used only to read and reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to call you back. It is never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.
The legal basis is legitimate interests (replying to people who get in touch) and, where you're asking about work for your business, taking steps you've asked for before a contract.
Who handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and delivers enquiries by email.
- Google provides the email inbox where enquiries are received.
These companies may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. They use legally recognised safeguards for this, such as the UK–US "data bridge".
How long it's kept
Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. If you become a client, your details are kept with your project records for as long as they're needed for the work and for legal and tax records.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages securely and to stop abuse of the enquiry form.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these include the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information held about you
- ask for it to be corrected
- ask for it to be deleted
- object to, or ask to restrict, how it's used
To make a request, email hello@romanroadwebdesign.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
